Dr. Akafo (FRCOphth, FWACS, FGCS) qualified as an Ophthalmologist from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, UK, in 1992. He was head of Ophthalmology for several years at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital during which he introduced Sub-specialty Care in Ophthalmology. He has Sub-specialty interest in Retinal diseases, Glaucoma and Paediatric Ophthalmology. In his practice, he sees and treats all types of eye diseases both in children and adults medically, with laser and surgically.
